Siobhan this is interesting. I went to a nutritionist and all my vitamins were extremely good besides my iron levels which I was able to rectify. My depression got so bad that i was actually nearly at the point of screaming all the time,im on medication now but yes I am so confused though regarding the nutrition end of things, why wasn't i ok, if all my vitamins were so good?? I might just go back to my nutritionist and see what her feedback is on this. at the time i didn't realise i was suffering i just thought this was how every other mother was feeling with their first baby.
Hi Suzanne If your iron level r low than I cant under stand why your vitmain levels were ok because if iron is low that means alot more as in, low iron effect s your blood pressure, floic acid, temperature of your body, shortness of breath, feeling faint ect........ its like a domino effect if one vitmain is out of line you can bet you have a few more. How was your b12? Anyway start taken omgea oils I find them fantastic. You should ask her can u see the results it might make more sense then. Best of luck to you.x

Hi thanks for this, are vitamin B12s suitable when breastfeeding? I have had pnd before and feel a little bit low this time(baby is 7 weeks old) but not too bad. I feel like I'm on top of it most of the time but could slip at any time. I am taking supplements for prenatal and breastfeeding care, so these probably have vitamin Bs in them. I must start taking the pregnacare fish oils again too.
