Feel so isolated and alone is this virus ever going to end? The only person I see is my husband, my parents are afraid to call. No support for new Mums really feel I am slipping, the day is so long cant even cant go to supermarket as so afraid I be refused entry. I do try to go for a walk except for last few days when raining. Please tell me I am not the only one going through this..

I’m so sorry you feel like that. I am in the same boat and am not coping well at all, the isolation is killer. I have started to see a counsellor privately and she is helping me to face some of my issues, you might benefit from some help too x

I'm sorry you have been feeling like this at the moment - You are really not alone. Everyone has sincerely been feeling even more alone and isolated during this Covid-19 situation but the good news is we are all transitioning back to some normality slowly - atleast we are now moving in the right direction. It is important to stay in touch with other people and to still get out for some fresh air and even light exercise - walking etc. Would you have a friend you could try arrange to meet in a socially distanced setting ? Also, We arrange zoom chats for women, it takes place every second Tuesday if you would like to join in and have chats with the other women there, you are more than welcome. We are also available on 0214922083 if you would like to talk and we are available on support@pnd.ie and on facebook @ PND Ireland if you would like to message directly and confidentially. If there is anything we can do to help, please do contact us again, we are here for you.

You are definitely not alone..I am a first time mum as well and it's been the loneliest experience ever, I don't have any family here amd all I had was my partner, but he couldn't handle everything, and walked away..I also struggle every day...it would be nice to chat to other woman going through the same experience.
