Reply to post natal? ???

Hi I'm not too sure where to start...... my youngest has just turned 2 and every since I went back to work a year and a half ago I'm feeling very low. I'm unable to interact socially anymore. I can't seem to get involved with my work colleagues on the same level as I used to I can even make eye contact with them. I'm feeling very anxious and on edge all the time. I don't sleep very well it feels like I nap instead of sleep which isn't down to my son as he's slept through the night for a long time. I guess I'm just wondering would these be symptoms of post natal depression or something unrelated. I'm not too sure and to be honest I'm scared I'm pushing everyone away is affecting my work and my sanity.

Hi Sarah You have to go and talk to your GP you say your youngest is 2 I dont think at this stage it can be PND but you cant go on living like this. I presume you have other kids and it is not easy having a job and looking after kids. If you are not sleeping it dosent help your coping skills. You do sound a bit down to me, when we are like this we imagine all sorts of things, we think we are not good at anything, we are constantly analysing ourselves. You could also consider councilling, a few sessions might be a help. You need to discuss these options with your GP. Are you getting any time for yourself, I found walking really helped me. You have to do something now dont put it off any longer.
