Reply to PND at 6months

My little boy is gone 6 months and I have been suffering with pnd since he was about 4 months and I didnt realise until I just broke down last week. I had been putting on a face for everyone and crying by myself at night. Finally broke after my partner begged me to get some help and that things weren't right. Have just started taking medication but i feel in no way fit to return to work. I have absolutely zero motivation to do anything and just tired all of the time. Is anyone else in the same situation?

How long you on meds? you can feel very tired at the start and also side effects can make you feel worse before better. they take a week to ten days to get into system and al least another 10 to take the edge off. Try an be posotive do a few tasks every day and make sure to get a walk. Usually start o lowest dose and has to be increased a few weeks later. talk to your GP

The gp upped my meds yesterday because they weren't helping so I have to give them another week and call her back to see if that helps any. I'm trying to be positive and do little bits around the house each day and keep a happy face in for my little man it's just hard sometimes. Hopefully the medication works and things will get better. Thanks for the reply
